We are incredibly excited about opening our inns to guests again! We want to assure you that The Common Man Inn & Spa is focused on the health and safety of our guests, employees and communities, and on providing the same level of hospitality that you have come to know us for. 

The Common Man Inns are embracing this ‘new normal’ and we are committed to following all safety and sanitation protocols from leading health experts and our New Hampshire authorities.  We have heightened our already stringent practices around sanitization, disinfection, food handling and cleaning. The well-being of our guests and team members is our highest priority. We’re ready to welcome you back and would like to share some of the steps we’ve taken.

Cleaning & Sanitation

Our team has implemented enhanced sanitization protocols across our Inns, developed with guidance provided by local health authorities and the CDC.  The frequency of cleaning and disinfecting our Inns, with additional focus on high-touch surfaces such as the front desk, elevators, door handles and public restrooms, has increased to ensure a clean and safe environment for all.  This elevated approach extends to all corners of our facility.

Hand Hygiene, Face Coverings and Gloves

Proper and frequent hand washing remains one of the most important steps in preventing the spread of germs.  Our team members are required to properly wash their hands hourly, and immediately after sneezing, touching their face, cleaning, entering or exiting guest areas and before and after a shift.  We have made hand sanitizer readily available throughout the hotel to assist with hand sanitation when a sink is not readily available.

Each of our team members are required to wear masks, due to governmental requirements. Gloves will be worn by restaurant team members when preparing food or drinks and other team members throughout the hotel may also be required to wear gloves depending on duties and recommendations made by the CDC.

Temperature and Wellbeing Checks

The New Hampshire Department of Health requires that we screen employees, customers, and visitors entering our establishment. People whose responses to screening questions indicate they are sick, or who show visible signs of illness, must be denied entrance and instructed to isolate. Screening of customers and visitors may consist of self-screening as guided by posted signage.

Out-of-state guests are required, per order of the State, to sign a waiver verifying that they have been quarantined for at least 14-days before arriving in New Hampshire. Meaning only going out for essential items and wearing a mask when away from their homes.

Physical Distancing

Guests are advised to practice physical distancing and maintain a space of six feet apart from others. Our team members will be doing the same, with reception and service areas reconfigured to assure a safe space between team members. The tables in our outdoor dining areas have been reconfigured to allow proper spacing for guests and team members. Occupancy within elevators is limited to two people at a time.

Guest Rooms

We have enhanced cleaning and sanitization protocols for our guest rooms to include the use of cleaning products and standards which meet recommended guidelines and are approved for use against viruses, bacteria and other airborne pathogens and with particular attention to high-touch items and surfaces within the room.

Services & Amenities

The city, state and federal health and safety measures we’ve adopted mean that some of the regular services and amenities we normally provide may differ from what you’ve experienced in the past or is communicated on our website.  In Plymouth, our pool, rock waterfall hot tub and fitness center are open. In Claremont, our hot tub is open, but our fitness center is closed. Plymouth’s on-site Spa is open for limited services, with restrictions and safety protocols in place.
